Parenting Plans, Property Settlement Agreements and Section 60I Certificates
We have solicitors with a wealth of experience to assist you in resolving both children and property matters without going to court.
Having one of our team attend with you at your mediation can ensure any negotiation and agreement is practical for your needs and appropriately drafted.
However, the Family Legislation requires parties to undergo mediation for parenting matters (with some exceptions), and should mediation not result in an agreement, then a section 60I Certificate will be issued to the parties. Section 60I certificates are required (with some exceptions) before initiating Family Court proceedings.
Mediating property matters can provide a more affordable, less complicated and private way to settle disputes rather than progressing through the Family Court Process.
With a clearly drafted Agreement, we can subsequently prepare the relevant documents to have your agreement formalised a binding Court Order.
Should mediation fail however, we can ensure we can continue to represent you professionally and competently through the entire Family Court Process.
